Copyright and reuse

© 2026 Newton Prep, for its original copyrightable contributions.

Original publications

Except where otherwise identified, Newton Prep licenses its original contributions to Robeson’s publications under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0). This includes original discussion, analysis, explanatory writing, and provisions of the proposed standard, to the extent Newton Prep holds the rights.

You may share and adapt this material, including for commercial purposes, under the license terms. Give appropriate credit to Newton Prep and Robeson, link to the material and license, retain supplied notices, and indicate changes. Attribution must not suggest endorsement. The license is irrevocable for uses that comply with its terms; the legal text governs.

Third-party material

Third-party material throughout this site is excluded from Newton Prep’s license. This includes quoted or adapted UIL and TAPPS content, biographical quotations and adaptations, photographs, illustrations, and other material obtained from outside sources. Such material retains its own copyright, license, or public-domain status.

Newton Prep grants no rights held by third parties. Citations and source links identify origins; they do not grant permission from the source owner. Inclusion on Robeson does not establish that material is freely reusable. Consult the source and applicable rights information when reusing it.

Newton Prep’s original wording, analysis, and commentary remain covered by CC BY 4.0 when informed by cited sources. The license does not claim ownership of historical facts or public-domain material.

The proposed standard draws on and adapts UIL material. Crosswalks may also reproduce or adapt provisions from UIL, TAPPS, and other organizations. Our license applies only to Newton Prep’s original contributions to those documents. A detailed rights review of the standard’s source material has not been completed.

Photographs and public-domain material

Historical photographs have individual source and rights information in their captions. The photographs currently displayed are identified by their sources as public domain in the United States. Newton Prep claims no copyright in those underlying photographs. Public-domain material and uses allowed by law do not require permission under our license.

Code, names, and branding

This publication license excludes website software, logos, and other branding artwork. Software dependencies retain their own licenses. No trademark rights or permission to imply endorsement by Newton Prep, Robeson, UIL, or any other institution are granted.
